When Lupe and Frank first got married 36 years ago, they did not have a Jewish ceremony. So on their twice-Chai anniversary they chose to bring their closest family and friends together for a simple, traditional Reformed Jewish wedding service. And brunch! They brought Rabbi Benjamin Sternman in from Cleveland, Ohio; the couple had become very close friends when Rabbi Sternman was with Congregation Beth Israel for several years and it was a great honor to have him officiate their ceremony. It was a lovely and intimate event, captured forever in these photographs.

Family Portraits: On Location

I was contacted by Johanna to make pictures of her family. I love doing family portraits but when she said there would be 17 people, admittedly I was a bit apprehensive! There would be Grandma and Grandpa, their four daughters and their spouses and seven grandchildren. That's a LOT of people to fit in one shot. And it can be quite a challenge just getting one single exposure with all 17 sets of eyes open and looking toward the camera. We actually got quite a few great shots, the session was a huge success! Are you ready to book YOUR session?

Studio Portraits: Fashion Head Shots

Beth came to me with a need for some professional head shots to promote her new jewelry distributorship. She wanted some tight closeups that featured some jewelry pieces, and some medium closeups that might look good on her business cards and other promotional materials. Below are a dozen shots we liked.

Austin Wedding Photography: Mr. and Mrs. Esch

(click any image to view website)

Mr. and Mrs. Esch, surrounded by a small group of family and their closest friends, had a beautiful wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. The ceremony was officiated by the Groom's brother-in-law, as their friend Claude strolled and serenaded all morning. After toasts and light snacks, the group moved to the beautiful Trattoria Lisina at the Mandola Estate Winery in Driftwood, Texas. It was one of the most picturesque weddings I've ever photographed. See for yourself below.
