Most weekends I take him to "the donut factory" otherwise known as Krispy Kreme on Stassney Lane. He loves to watch the dough drop out of the conveyor belt into the hot oil, get flipped and then drizzled with sugar glaze. Then we pop a few in our mouths and we're off to do something fun! Yay!


He and I planted this tree (the small green one just behind him) and another last weekend during the Austin Parks Foundation's "Its My Park! Day" event. We were at Dick Nichols Park in Oak Hill but the "It's My Park! Day" events took place at parks all across Austin.

In the years to come, we'll walk past these two trees and say "I planted this tree way back in 2009!" How cool is that?
