This Is SXSW To Me
I'm not an enthusiast of standing in a tightly packed club and being aurally abused by excessively loud amps and speakers. What I really love about SXSW, however, is what's pictured below: this diverse mass of energized people descending on our little town, adding flavor and light and all kinds of interest. I love it!

Engagement Session: Jenny & Jonathan

I'll be shooting the wedding of Jenny and Jonathan in August 2009. To get to know each other, we did an engagement session and the results were terrific! Can't wait for their wedding, I just know it's gonna be awesome!

Most weekends I take him to "the donut factory" otherwise known as Krispy Kreme on Stassney Lane. He loves to watch the dough drop out of the conveyor belt into the hot oil, get flipped and then drizzled with sugar glaze. Then we pop a few in our mouths and we're off to do something fun! Yay!


He and I planted this tree (the small green one just behind him) and another last weekend during the Austin Parks Foundation's "Its My Park! Day" event. We were at Dick Nichols Park in Oak Hill but the "It's My Park! Day" events took place at parks all across Austin.

In the years to come, we'll walk past these two trees and say "I planted this tree way back in 2009!" How cool is that?
