Impromptu Portraits: My Flickr Friend
(click any image to view website)
Tom is a friend from flickr. Admiring his photographs and enjoying the personal stories that accompany them, I came to know and respect him quite a lot. Recently he visited Austin and I insisted he let me introduce him to some fine Austin tacos. Here's a snapshot I grabbed between bites.

Felix is an actor. He wanted a set of 8"x10" tight head-and-shoulders pictures that directors, casting directors and agents like to see. Here are a few we produced.

Architecture: Texas State Capitol Building
(click any image to view website)
A few days ago I had the opportunity to take some photos at the Texas State Capitol Building. Everyone likes to take pictures of the inside of the dome, and I've made a few nice ones during my years in Austin, but the black and white shot below is definitely one of my favorites to date. I made some nice exterior shots of the Capitol this evening as well.

Food: Recent Edibles

Almost all of my food shots are impromptu; that is, they're shot in a restaurant moments before I eat the subject. I very rarely do food photography in a studio setting with a food stylist, etc., for two reasons. First, I prefer a more realistic setting for the pictures. Second, nobody's paying me for studio food shots. BUT if you need some beauty foodie shots and you have a budget, ring me up.
